...Well, actually it's almost May, but I've finally moved on to the April Pocket Life Kit from Citrus Twist Kits. And it's gorgeous! (You can see my unboxing video here.)
I had a few more pictures this week, so I didn't get to use much of the kit. I didn't even crack open the die cut pack! But I love the way this spread turned out.
Today I have a 12x12 layout for you using the Sunday Sketch from the Citrus Twist Kits blog.
I used my April Pocket Life kit for this layout, and I love the way it turned out. These kits are super versatile. I could't be happier with my subscription!
This is my fifth and final week using the March Pocket Life kit from Citrus Twist Kits. Five weeks! Plus my Day in the Life insert! That's a lot of mileage for one kit.
For this week's spread, I chose to use some of the brighter elements in the kit along with plenty of black and white. There were some bright colors in my photos, so these papers and embellishments worked really well.
Can I just say how freaking stoked I am that I've been keeping up with Project Life? 'Cause I am. Freaking. Stoked.
This is a first for me, guys. I have never done this well at consistently making weekly spreads. And I'm loving it!
Okay, so here's my Week 12. I had fewer photos this week, so I was able to play around a bit more with supplies from Citrus Twist Kit March Pocket Life kit. I'm really happy with how much is in these kits and that I'm able to get four full weeks, plus some, out of each one.
I have a short video for you today showing my process for putting together the Day in the Life insert for my 2018 Project Life album.
As I mention in the video, I didn't do a great job of documenting my Day in the Life this year. I started out really well, but by mid afternoon, life itself got in the way, and my documentation of it came to a halt. So I only have seven pictures for this spread, documenting seven hours of my day. But it's better than nothing, right?

Week 11 was a pretty busy week for me, and to be honest, it was really hard to narrow down my photos to fit onto a one-page spread. But I had to remind myself that it isn't always necessary to document every image I take in this album. When I look back at the albums I did in previous years, I tend not to focus on the specifics, like what meal we ate or what errands I ran. Instead, I focus on the stories, and as long as I am capturing a snapshot of my life at this time, that's all that really matters to me.
That being said, I still cheated. I created a flip pocket using a piece from an old page protector to sneak in a couple extra photos. I'll also be adding an insert to document my Day in the Life from Thursday of this week (video to come).
So here is my Week 11 process. I'm still using the March Pocket Life kit from Citrus Twist (and still loving it). Since it was the week of St. Patrick's Day, I pulled out a lot of the greens and some blues from the kit.
It's not my favorite spread of all time (they can't all be), but I'm happy with the way it turned out.
I can't even tell you how much I am loving these kits! I'm still finishing up a few spreads with my March kit, but since the April kit showed up at my door, I thought I'd share it here with you.

Here's a look at week 10. I didn't have very many photos this week, so it's pretty heavy with journaling. I still kept the embellishment to a minimum, which helps me to work through these pages quickly. I don't have time for anything that isn't simple.

So without further ado, here's week 9.
I used the March Citrus Twist Pocket Life Kit exclusively, and although I'm definitely still working out some kinks in working with these new kits, I'm super happy with the way the spread turned out.
After much deliberation, I finally decided to start a new kit subscription last month. If you've read this blog for very long, you may remember that I used to subscribe to the Studio Calico documenter kits (from 2014 through 2016)...and I almost never used them. Most of the kits sat in their boxes for months before I did anything with them. Part of the reason was that I just didn't know how to work with kits. But the other part was that those kits weren't working for me.
Eventually, as I started working in my albums more consistently, I learned that kits were really my best friends. I need a limited number of items in front of me, and since kits all coordinate, they make it easy to put together pages.
So I spent a lot of time watching unboxing and process videos to see how other people were using the various kit options out there. And while several of them are very appealing, I ultimately realized that the Citrus Twist Kits are most likely to work for me.
So I jumped in. And we'll see how it goes.
