2018 Project Life: Week 29

You guys! I am so freaking excited. Drum roll, please.....I found my sewing machine!! It's been packed away in a box for over three years, and I finally dug it out. Stay tuned for all. the. sewing.

Of course, the only thing I'm going to be sewing this time is paper. That little machine was once-upon-a-time used to sew dresses and home decor, but those days are long behind me. I'm all about the stitched paper now.

Just look how much it adds to the page. I am seriously in love.

And those book pages?! This is definitely my favorite spread to date. The colors, the vintage bits, the fabric embellishments...so much good stuff.

Don't forget you can pick up one of these amazing kits for yourself from the Citrus Twist Kits shop. Trust me, you won't regret it.

2018 Project Life: Week 28

Week 28 happened in the middle of what I've taken to calling my "dark time," the period of several weeks right after I got some bad news when I basically spent all of my time wallowing in self-pity. It wasn't pretty.

But somehow I did manage to take a few photos... even if nearly all of them are of alcohol. So I'm rolling with that theme for this week's spread.

Luckily the Citrus Twist Kits Traveler's Notebook Stamp for the month of August has some perfect phrases for this kind of spread. This real life, people. It's not always sunshine and rainbows.

And for any of you who may be concerned for my mental and physical health based on these photos, don't worry. I'm fine. It was a bad time, and I sometimes self-medicate with wine, but I'm good.

Traveler's Notebook: April 2018

Today I'm back working in my 2018 traveler's notebook. This is an insert I'm using to document one highlight from each month of this year, one that is particularly relevant to me personally.

For April, I'm using a picture of the passport I received this month. Even though we don't have plans to go anywhere just yet, I didn't want the fact that I didn't have a passport to keep us from making some, so I decided to just get one. And I was SUPER excited about it. I felt like a real grown-up. :)

The insert is from Freckled Fawn. Most of the rest of the supplies I've used are from Citrus Twist, including bits from the March Pocket Life Kit, the June Pocket Life Kit, and the July Stamp Set.

I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Those travel stamps on the Crate Paper Here + There paper are just gorgeous!
